Really old news here, but tulip. is in The Platinum Hunt which ends on the 31st (Wednesday). The item you're looking for costs L$10 but all the stores were asked to provide exclusive items worth L$400 so it's totally worth it.

Tulip. is also switching to an in-world group for convenience and there's something in it for those make the switch (and new members)!

The first is the exclusive group gift which you can only grab in-world, with the tulip. group tag activated.

The second is a group only item that is discounted to L$50. Again, you'll need the group tag active in order to purchase these.

After a couple more weeks, I'll completely phase out the subscriber group and will only send notices to the in-world group, so please, please, please be sure to join if you want to stay up to date on new releases, group gifts and the like. It will be worth it, I promise!

I must be the worst blogger in existence...

First off, Project Kiwi is no longer. That is to say, it's no longer called Project Kiwi. It's now going by the name: tulip. Yes, that's "tulip." with a lowercase t and a period!

I guess the decision came to pass because of a few reasons. For one, I tend to get tired of things rather quickly. Anyone who's been to the in world store more than once over the last few years, or even months, will know what I'm talking about. Also, after looking over the new releases within the return of the store, I feel like the design quality has improved greatly (not to toot my own horn or anything!). What does that have to do with a name change? Well, I suppose my growth as a designer and perhaps the lack of old items even being available in world, was just another reason to change the name. I'm honestly surprised the name Project Kiwi even lasted as long as it did, since I can barely keep the same store layout for longer than a month! But the fact that designing and building a store is extremely fun for me, doesn't help that ;)

Anyway, on to things less boring, yes?

Project Kiwi Returns

I'm returning to Second Life, full time. I've brought Project Kiwi with me and have also begun work on a new line called Burn Deficiency. This line will be different from what I offered with Project Kiwi, in that the clothing will have a more mature feel. Sticking to darker and richer colors and perhaps a bit sexier as well.

For now, Project Kiwi and Burn Deficiency are in the same location, and linked in this post title.

I haven't made many new things for PK as I've been concentrating on BD for the time being, but I plan on creating some new looks for PK in the near future.

Going Out of Business Sale

As you've probably noticed, there has been a significant lack of notices in the last two months or so. This is due to both a lack of inspiration/motivation and a new RL job. So even if I had new ideas, I just don't have the time to sit in front of the computer for hours in photoshop and still maintain a sliver of a life.

Because of that, I had been considering just letting my L run out on rent and then close down but I just found out the group that owns the sim I rent on is selling. With the lack of releases and having to find a new and most likely more expensive rental group, I can't justify the additional work and cost increase to keep the store up and running. So as much as I may hate to do it, I'm going to close down the store. Project Kiwi may be back some months from now if I find myself with more time, but right now this seems like the best thing to do.

Good news is, I'm having a going out of business sale starting NOW! I'm not sure how much time I'll have left before I have to clear off the parcel, though. so I can't say when it will end, for sure. I know I have about 3 days of rent left as of right now, but if I can extend by a week without taking a loss then I will and will be sure to let you guys know.

Everything is half price (not that my stuff is expensive to begin with ;)) but this way you'll have a chance to get things you had been undecided about without commiting a larger chunk of money on an item that will probably have a lack of customer service if you inquire after the store is officially closed. The only reason I'm not just giving the stuff away is that I would like some spending money for the off chance I am in world and want to go shopping with friends.

Feel free to tell any friends who might miss this notice so they don't miss the sale.

I am so late with this post!

I fixed the shorts last weekend and put them out. The vendors have also been corrected, and if you're subscribed to Project Kiwi, you've gotten these corrected versions at no cost. The old colors are L$1 until sometime on Monday. I also made new shorts, which are out as well (L$30 each).

Lastly, I extended the L$10 sale which will also end sometime on Monday (6.1.09 - whenever I get online to change everything). The sale items have been changed up so that new colors and even the newer releases have a pack for L$10.

I've also corrected the lower half of the denim one pieces. There used to be a gap between the inner seams but that is no longer an issue. The revised version is up for sale above the original vendors and is available at no cost. I will probably send them out to the group as well to be sure at least some of the people who have purchased them, get the corrected versions.

I finally reached the prim cap at the current location... Feels like just yesterday I was moving in.

The new location is just across the way but it's double the size! ^^ I spent the last two days setting up, and aside from a few finishing touches, it's finished - YAY!

Since the hunt is still on, I extended my stay at the (now) old location for another week so I don't disrupt the chain. You can also get the landmark to the new shop there too. New Look for the Store

Ever since I was about ten years old, I loved to create new looks for my room. I'd constantly move the furniture around, and try different organization tricks. What ever I could do, short of painting (though I would have if I was allowed =p), to keep things interesting. So, one thing I really love about Second Life, is that I can totally remodel my store however I want, whenever I want, without the limitations of real life. If you've visited the store more than once over the last few months, I'm sure you've noticed how often I take advantage of this.

This time, I went all out; at least in the sense of uploading new textures for just about every item I have for sale and going for a new color scheme/layout. I really like the way it came out!

We'll see if this setup lasts longer than the many others.

Now I think I want to come up with a new logo...

About the Vain Inc Hunt gifts I've decided to put together:

This being the first hunt Project Kiwi has ever participated in, I couldn't decide if I should make totally new items specifically for the hunt or if I should use items already in store. What I did know, is that I wanted everyone to be sure they were items I would sell in store, and not stuff I just tossed together and called gifts. So, I decided to pick some of the best selling items already available in store, and make new colors that will be exclusive to the hunt. I feel like that would be a nice balance between new/custom and quality assurance. Also, that way; customers who have already bought the items in the existing colors shouldn't (I hope) feel ripped as they would if I just tossed in stuff already in existence.

I've already started work on these "Limited Edition" colors and I'm debating on putting up a pic of the final product, once it's finished. Either way, know it will be a cohesive outfit and all pieces are capable of mixing and matching with your existing wardrobe as well. ^^

New! Striped Tube Tops & Matching Armwarmers

The tube tops come in 2 packs priced at L$25 each. One has the "cool" colors: green, blue and yellow; and the other has the "warm" colors: red, pink and purple. Every color comes on all layers including the underwear layer for a tucked in look.

The armwarmers come in one pack priced at L$25 and match the tube tops. I think they add a sort of punk look to the tops. These come on the glove layer.

Welcome to the Project Kiwi Blog!

We recently moved to a new location, and I thought a new blog would be nice. You know, to help keep everyone up-to-date with our happenings. So here we are. On this page, I'll post about new releases, sales and freebies! Yay!

As I mentioned, we've moved to a new location. The new location is just across the street from our old spot, but it's twice the size. We've grown quite quickly in the last couple months!
